Woodcut / woodblock print, printed in a limited edition of 10 pieces. This work is printed from one linden woodblock on professional Clairefontaine Simili Japon Blanc paper (250gr/sqm). Numbered, titled and signed by hand under the image. Inks used are non-toxic, soy-based inks.

A geology and architecture inspired practice

Les Reliefs, the printmaking practice of Dutch artist Maurice de Rooij, specializes in linocut and woodblock prints. Maurice draws inspiration from European mountain ranges (Alps, Jura, Vosges). He researches these places through sketching, hiking, and writing.

At Les Reliefs, sustainability is paramount. Maurice handcrafts each linocut and woodblock print in his studio in Utrecht, The Netherlands, using a traditional etching press. He uses non-toxic, soy-based inks and prints on FSC-certified paper. Your print will be securely wrapped and shipped in robust, plastic-free packaging.
