Handmade Woodblock Print

Edition of 10 in one colour way. This print is made using the reduction woodcut technique. The print consists of three colour layers. Printed from one linden block on professional Clairefontaine Simili Japon Blanc 250gr/sqm paper. Numbered, titled and signed by the artist under the image. Used inks are non-toxic and soy-based. After purchase, this print will be sent to you in a safe, plastic free package!

Background information

Inspired by the incredible 'Grotte des Faux Monnayeurs' cave in the Jura mountains on the French-Swiss border, this print captures the geological formation of limestone caves. Here, deep underground, layers of stone lay diagonally, stacked on top of each other, revealing a complex geological history.
